Your street, your business.
Not ours to share.

The Redlands is a community app made by locals, for Redland City, Queensland. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it — in plain English. Effective 22 August 2026.

The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never show anyone your exact address, we never sell your information, and you can delete your account — and everything with it — from inside the app at any time.

What we never do

Kids

Kid accounts are view-only: kids can look at news, like posts and RSVP to events, but cannot post, comment, host events or claim an address — these limits are enforced on our servers, not just in the app. A kid joins only when the adult who owns their home address approves the request.

Where your information lives

Your data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, and is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by per-account security rules — one neighbour can never read another's private details.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time from the You tab inside the app. Your profile and personal details are removed; any posts you leave behind are anonymised (shown as "a former neighbour"). If you can't get into the app, contact us and we'll delete it for you.
